2011

2011 is going to be all about Sheena. I am going to make sure I am the best person I can be. I would love to find love, but I know I need to work on myself first.

I have a few goals for 2011.
  1. To lose 30 lbs
  2. Eat Gluten Free
  3. Build my photography business
  4. Blog more

I am going to work hard to lose weight this year, and I think my new diet will help. After a horrible year with my stomach. I had my first endoscopy, first colonoscopy and a bunch of biospies done. I do not have celiac disease, however, I am gluten intolerant. So, starting Saturday, I will be gluten free. I am so sick and tired of being so sick with my stupid stomach.

My photography business should be a good thing for me. I have been working hard at it over the years and I want to build my name as a photographer! I have a website when I worked hard on building and started a blog for that. Please check out: http://www.sheenadunnphotography.com. That is my baby! I want to one day travel the World and take pictures. One day, it will happen.

Lastly, I need to blog more. Either on this blog or my photography one.

Here's to saying goodbye to 2010 and hello to 2011.

2010-you were a stressful year. I have learned a lot from you. I know what I want out of a man, I know what I want out of my job and what I want out of my life. I am not sorry to see you leave!

I will officially have an Associate of Arts in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism!!!!! I am so excited. It has been a LONG 2 years working on this degree!!! Next stop is my bachelors, which starts on September 14th. My classes are going to be 5 weeks long instead of 9. It am scheduled to be finished with that degree by Summer 2012. My bachelors is a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Concentration in Hospitality Management. I have some big goals for myself and I will do my best to reach them. I would love to be a travel agent, whether is personal and business. I would prefer personal since I love to travel, but I just want to work in that field.

On September 1st, I am going to the RED SOX game with my daddy!!!!! Soooo excited. We are sitting right behind the dugout, so I might get a few autographs. My grandparents will also be in town that weekend too. So it will be a good weekend.

Traveling....

I am back from a week on a cruise ship and can I tell you I was soo happy. I really wish I could just go on like 10 cruises a year or just travel the world. For me, traveling in my happy place. I wish I could go back. However, I cannot. My next big vacation is in 293 days!! I will be exploring Greece and its Islands. I love Greece and I will be staying there for 15 days!! I am hoping at the time that I leave for Greece, I will be able to speak the language a little. I am taking this trip with Collette Vacations. Collette Vacations plans the entire trip out for you. Below is that I will be doing and seeing on my trip.

Air 1: Overnight Flight
Discover the beauty and timeless wonder found only in Greece. Your tour of Greece begins with an overnight flight.

Day 2: Athens, Greece - Tour Begins
Your tour begins in the capital city of Athens. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in Athens’ historic district, known as the Plaka. In a traditional taverna you will feast on local cuisine, wine and enjoy Greek entertainment.

Touring Athens, see the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, the Royal Palace, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Olympic Stadium and the incredible Acropolis (UNESCO).

Day 5: Kalambaka - Metéora - Kalambaka
Today you tour Metéora (UNESCO), a unique landscape of limestone rock “towers” that stand nearly 900 feet tall. Over 600 years ago, Byzantine monks chose to build their monastic community perched atop these virtually inaccessible rocks. As you travel through the dazzling Peneios Valley, stop and visit one of these remote holy places. Return to Kalambaka for some leisure time.

Day 6: Kalambaka - Delphi - Arachova
Continue on to the ancient city of Delphi (UNESCO), one of Greece’s most important religious centers during Classical times. Day 15: Athens - Tour Ends

I wish i was leaving now. But I guess I can wait. I just wish I could quit my job and work on a criuse ship tomorrow. It would be great to just have fun and enjoy my life while I am still young and single. However, I do need to marry a man who LOVES to travel. :-)

Nothing much else to say. Just ready for the weeekend to sleep and do nothing. I still need to unpack from the cruise also. Guess I will do that this weekend....

An Update

So, its been a while since I have wrote. Nothing new, still happy and VERY single. I am very happy that I did what I needed to do to be happy.

I am just enjoying life for a while. I am be finished with my associates degree on August 28th!! ((exciting, I know)) and then i will be starting my bachelors soon after ((September)). I have been told that my dream jobs are some of the hardest jobs to get in this economy. I want to be a travel agent and a photographer. I also think I might start a inturnship in September on Saturday working at my travel agency. I have high hopes for myself. I know that I can make a living with my dream jobs, but I just have to work from them. I think I honestly needed to break up with Josh to know what I wanted to do in life. I want to travel the world and take pictures. That's MY dream!

I can't believe that I am going on my cruise in just a few weeks.....45 days to be exact!! I am hoping to post picture each day when I am on my trip. I am really excited to a fun vacation with my dad's side of the family and my MOM!! ((I know, she is going. She has a good relationship with my dad's family))

Just a little exciting news that I learn lastly is that Starbucks now offers SOY FRAPPUCCINOS!!!!! This is very exciting to me. When I learned that I was lactose intolerant, I was CRUSHED that I could not enjoy my favorite drink without having a horrible stomach ache. But, as of May 2010, Starbucks now offers them. I am FINALLY use like stack of gift cards!!!

He has Porphyria. And when he gets an attack he need to go to the hospital. He said he was one the of the worst ones he has had in a long time. Since we have been together, he has only 2 bad attacks where he needed to go to the ER. He is feeling much better today. Just tired and sore. I took very good care of him last night!

This week's plan is to work out when I get home from work, before dinner. And take care of Josh. Oh and can't forget getting things ready for my mom's 50th birthday party!
